Classification of Oil Cooler

Engine oil cooler: Cools the lubricating oil of the engine and keeps the oil at a reasonable temperature (90-120 degrees) and viscosity. It is installed in the cylinder block of the engine and is installed integrally with the casing during installation.

Transmission oil cooler: cools the lubricating oil of the transmission. It is installed in the drain chamber of the engine radiator or outside the transmission case. If it is air-cooled, it is installed on the front side of the radiator.

Retarder oil cooler: cools the lubricating oil when the retarder is working. It is installed outside the gearbox. Most of them are shell-and-tube or water-oil composite products.

Exhaust gas recirculation cooler: It is a device used to cool some of the exhaust gas that is returned to the engine cylinder. The purpose is to reduce the content of nitrogen oxides in the automobile exhaust.

Radiation cooler module: It is a device that can cool multiple objects or some objects such as cooling water, lubricating oil, compressed air, etc. at the same time. The cooling module adopts a highly integrated design idea and has full functions, small size, intelligence and high efficiency. Features.

Air cooler: Also called intercooler, it is a device used to cool the high-temperature and high-pressure air after the engine is supercharged. Through the cooling of the intercooler, the temperature of the supercharged air can be reduced, thereby increasing the density of the air, so as to achieve the purpose of engine power, reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Oil-water cooler is a type of oil cooling equipment commonly used in power systems. It is also suitable for metallurgy, chemical industry, mining, light industry, heavy industry and other departments. The cooler can realize heat exchange between two liquid media with a certain temperature difference, thereby reducing the oil temperature and ensuring the normal operation of power equipment. It is mainly used for equipment lubricating oil cooling, transmission system oil cooling, transformer oil cooling, etc. Oil-water coolers are divided into vertical and horizontal types according to the installation form; they are divided into plain tube type and enhanced heat transfer tube type according to the cooling tube type.

Oil cooler is also called oil cooler. According to the principle of refrigeration system, the low-temperature and low-pressure liquid refrigerant exchanges heat with the surrounding water in the evaporator. The evaporator absorbs the heat of the oil and evaporates into a low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous state. The temperature of the refrigerant does not change during the evaporation process. , the low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant enters the compressor, is compressed by the compressor, and is compressed into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state, and then enters the condenser, where it exchanges heat with the indoor medium. Part of the heat of the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state is The medium absorbs, the medium temperature rises, and the refrigerant releases heat in the condenser and becomes a high-temperature and high-pressure liquid. The temperature of the condenser process remains unchanged, and then enters the expansion valve for throttling. Throttling is a rapid cooling process, and the refrigerant becomes a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid. After this process, the refrigerant then enters the evaporator for heat exchange and evaporation, thereby realizing the entire process of the refrigeration system. This cycle is carried out continuously, so that the oil can be continuously refrigerated.

Our Oil Coolers use high performance cooling cores; so there is the possibility of overcooling which is prevented by the use of a thermostat (some vehicles excluded). This thermostat has high response and able to react quickly to change of oil temperature. Once oil temperature reaches the set level, the oil will flow through the cooler core but bypasses when temperatures drop lower. This allows engine oil to be maintained at the ideal temperature.

Just as a vehicle's radiator cools the engine, an engine oil cooler keeps your vehicle's engine oil at the proper operating temperature. This can extend the life of your engine's moving parts and minimize the potential for costly engine repairs.
