What is the difference between aluminum foil and tin foil?

Aluminum foil is aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.025mm after processing metal aluminum or aluminum alloy by rolling equipment, aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.2mm, and aluminum plate with a thickness of more than 0.2mm. The density of aluminum or aluminum foil is 2.70g/cm3, the melting point is 660°C, and the boiling point is 2327°C. The appearance is silver-white light metal, ductile and malleable, and can form an oxide film to prevent metal corrosion in humid air.

Tin foil is processed by metal tin through rolling equipment, which has excellent ductility and ductility, so it is quite easy to process tin foil with a thickness of less than 0.025mm, and it can even be processed by hand. The density of tin is 5.75g/cm3, the melting point is 231.89°C, and the boiling point is 2260°C. It has the characteristics of excellent ductility and ductility, good corrosion resistance, and low melting point.


Appearance is silvery white slightly bluish metal. When tin is heated above 160°C, it turns into brittle tin, which has relatively stable chemical properties and does not react with air at room temperature.

The main difference between the two is that aluminum foil has a higher melting point than tin foil and is more suitable for grilling food.
